Quick editing can be
used to create confusion and terror caused by violence.

A werewolf stalks an
innocent character.

Slow and dark (to
create shadows) edits.
|
This will make the
scene very suspenseful and make the viewers scared.
|
A character confesses
their horrific crime to someone.
|
Cut onto the two
peoples faces as they are talking and have emotional edits added.
|
This will show the
expressions on each of the characters faces and show the emotion when they
find out about the horrific crime.
|
Two teams compete in
the finals of a dance competition.
|
As each of the teams
are dance cut onto the two groups equally through out the dances.
|
This will show the dancers backstage and the dancers on stage to see what they are thinking.
|
A high-speed care
chase ends in tragedy.
|
Quick edits when the car chase is occuring then when the crash happens slow down.
|
Using the two edits will allow you to be stressed at the start then when the tragic crash happens it gives you time to process it all.
